Last Friday, parents from MSCD Prep and Academy met in the library at 75 Morton St to participate in our first parent workshop for this school year. The workshop was designed to meet and discuss areas where parents need more information or support. I shared workshops that D75 has already scheduled [www.district75pd.org]. Some topics decided for future websites are: IEP - explaining alternate vs standard assessment, Safety drills - explanation for parents, Social opportunities for students and Apps/social media. Now it's time for me to put together a schedule! Thanks to those who participated. I hope this blog provides information to parents who can't attend but want to keep updated.
